I've been thinking about who I think will be the starters and backups entering the spring. Based on what I've seen over the last few years from Coach B, I know that he's a creature of habit. He doesn't like many moving parts, like most O line coaches I know. So along that line of thinking, I think that the Starting five will look like this:
LT Erik Swenson RS SR
LG Marquis Hayes RS JR
C Creed Humphrey RS JR
RG Tyrese Robinson RS JR
RT Adrian Ealy RS JR
I'd expect that there won't be a lot of movement from Left Guard to Right Tackle. For the most part, those four guys played really well last year, and in the process earned Coach B's trust. Trust is the most important thing for most position coaches.
On the second group I think it'll go something like this:
LT Stacey Wilkins RS FR (Honestly I think he may push Swenson to be the starter in the fall)
LG Marcus Alexander RS FR
C Andrew Raym FR
RG EJ Ndoma-Ogar RS FR
RT Finley Felix SR, not sure if he has a redshirt left or not.
Absent from my two deep is Brey Walker. Not to bash the guy, but from what I hear, he hasn't been able to grasp the game mentally yet. He's gonna have to make a big leap this year to get legitimate playing time. Also absent is Darrell Simpson. For whatever reason, he hasn't made the step either. Both he and Brey were highly touted players coming out of High School, and they are at risk from being passed by brand new guys, and guys who have only been on campus for a year now. With Bedenbaugh signing arguably the best overall class he's ever signed, they better get it figured out quick or they may not see the field.
